The movie An Inconvenient Truth was a big hit these days which caused a lot of talking about the movie it self. Some people agree and others don’t. This essay will discuss two reviews referring to the same topic, agreement and disagreement from two different people.
The liberal Roger Ebert is one of the people who liked the documentary movie “it reflects the truth as I understand it” he said. Global warming is real and people must do something about it right away because if they don’t the planet will reach its tipping point where destructions will occur for civilization. Later on there will be no use fixing the problem. He suggests that what Al Gore was trying to show in the movie that his concerns are based on the scientific evidence which he showed in the movie (Ebert, 2006).
A.O. Scott who works in NY Times disagrees with Al Gore’s movie and he thinks that it should never been made. As well he said that global warming is not our problem. According to him the movie will become a joke and people will not take it seriously as well they will make fun of Al Gore (Scott, 2006).
In my point of view I think Al Gore has a point and I agree with him because his evidence was based on true scientific facts and I also agree with Ebert’s review for a reason which is people must work together to help slow down the effects of global warming.
