Suicidal in China

Suicidal is a serious problem which is occurring more frequently nowadays. Especially in china, this is the only country in the world that has the rate of women suicidal more than men’s.
This problem is occurring more often in rural areas where suicide rate can reach up to triple times higher than suicide rate in cities. Poison is ready found within plants and pesticides in agricultural areas, which make it one of the main reasons why women commit suicide more here. Said Xu Rong (head of the suicide prevention project). What leads rural women to commit suicide is the arranged mirage which is more like business to the groom’s family. That leads to emotional problems which lead to arguments then to violence and end up with a suicide. They do that as an another way of asking for a better treatment. Beside that modern trend is placing pressure under china’s women.
There is an organization which is trying to stop suicide attempts by providing women with schools, support groups and vocational courses. Although moving to the cities, that does not mean that women are safe, because they could be sexually abused by their bosses .

Global Warming

Global warming is the most dangerous problem that we are facing nowadays, it may cause harm to us; therefore, we should try to protect our future and environment from global warming that has a negative effects on people. To know about global warming, I’m going to talk about causes, effects, and solutions on earth.
Global warming happens when dangerous gases for example gas CO2where some believe that the concentration of greenhouses gases in the atmosphere is too high, and other gases in the atmosphere increase more than the normal amount that the atmosphere must contain these gases. The most dangerous gases are CO2 and CO that comes out from manufactories, cars, and anything that might motivate these two gases to produce. When the gas CO2 rises up more than the normal amount, then the chemical balance of the earth changes which causes serious effects on environment.
The gas CO2 rises up, and the place starts to heat more than then normal degree especially when the amount of the gases have changed and the gases in the past atmosphere have stopped protecting the people from the dangerous gases. People start to feel the weather is hotter than the normal weather until people feel it is abnormal weather that makes everything dry and die. Now, the effects of the global warming have been a serious issue around the world, people started watching the Antarctica drawing, animals like bears, seals, and penguins die in the North Pole because of the ice started to melt and they have no place to live when they build their shelters from ice. Animals of the North Pole are dying from drowning especially when everything turned to water and ice melted. There are 5,773,000 cubic miles of water in ice caps, glaciers, and permanent snow (Simmons, 2007). Scientists predicts that after few years the whole North Pole will disappear because of the global warming, and animals will start to die, and Antarctica will drawn and the whole amount of water will flow to other countries which will cause another problem like tsunami.
The solutions are very easy, people can start at home to prevent global warming for example people can use bulb 100 watt for lightening that will reduce the amount of producing CO2 while producing energy in lightening. If people around the world tried this, it will reduce a very big amount of CO2 and it can be a part of preventing CO2 from increasing. People can start outdoor too, when it comes to using cars for example; China motivate people to reduce using cars after the global warming has effected their country and the government started to send red-light to people that using bicycles is better than cars, this will lead to the regulation of greenhouse gas emissions from power plants, which sources nearly half of American CO2 (Braasch, 2002). Public Medias have also started to send warnings to people about the global warming and showed people how animals die yearly by this issue.
To sum up all, global warming is the most dangerous issue that we have to solve and try to find solutions that will end this issue, and build a better life for people and animals that protects them from global warming, plus we should help to send red-light to people around the world about the global warming and its effects.

Cool City

We saw a movie about a project called Cool City, Cool City is a city which SDCJ (Sustainable Development Consortium of Japan) is planning to build. It uses renewable energy sources to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide and heat emissions in the air(Hope,2008). Now I will summaries what I saw in the movie.
Since the start of the industrial revolution the Cool city project was planned to be built and done due 2030, but some economic problems occurred in its development like the amount increased in population and environmental issues like the increase in CO2. If these problems stayed as they are with no solution it will leave them with no solution other than finding other place to build the Cool city project. Now a days CO2 is increasing rapidly and people themselves have to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by 1.5 otherwise they’ll have to use 5 more earths which is impossible.
Thirty years ago Japan’s GDP (gross domestic product) has shot up to 100% and energy efficiency increased by 37% while oil consumption has fell 8%. Buildings and transportation both represents 90% of carbon dioxide emitted into the air. Cool City will use light rails, mono rail and hybrid cars for transportation inside the city. Many zones are there in the city like the public zone, sport zone, residential zone and the resort. There will be lots of trees and water to reduce the heat, there are two main buildings with special features which expected to reduce the CO2 by half(Cool City).
